Fear is what causes us the most pain.
Think about it – what good has fear done for you?
Fear is what keeps us stagnant. It’s what holds us back from owning our power. We’re afraid of our own potential for greatness. it’s our fear that lulls us into a false sense of security, and keeps us from our greatest opportunities. Fear exploits our weaknesses by magnifying our perceived incapability. The moment we succumb to fear, our dreams slowly start to die.
You see, fear wins when we stop ourselves from being our truest self, when we refuse to acknowledge our purpose, and when we deny the world the gifts we hold within us.
We think our brokenness automatically disqualifies us from contributing, and from leaving a legacy.
But that couldn’t be further from the truth. As Lisa Nichols says, “Our mess is our message” – our stories and all that we have overcome only serve to make us stronger!
We all have a gift and a calling. Our dreams, our moments of inspiration, our ideas, are meant to make a difference in the world.
Don’t let fear get in the way of you embracing your higher purpose. Don’t give in to the uncertainty and excuses. If there is one thing I have learned, its that the path does not have to be crystal clear. You do not have to see the end. All you have to do is take one step.
Let’s not allow fear to hold us from being and doing all that we were meant to.
